Out Your Way: A Weekend to Reset

Friday, 4 PM – Arrive, settle in, and kick off with a warm welcome chat. Your site will be all set up for you ready to ease into the weekend. We enjoy and evening meal together around a mesmerising campfire.

Saturday – Start the day with breakfast, then step into the experience at your own pace. Whether you're stuck in a cycle of overthinking or simply need time to breathe, our woodland retreat offers space to reflect, talk things through, or just be. With a skilled coach and experienced counsellor guiding the weekend, you'll have the chance to explore practical coping strategies, reconnect with nature, and gain clarity—whittling, walking, or unwind in the quiet. There will be a chance to talk and learn of strategies to deal with whatever is on your mind. Learn to listen to your intuition and find the answers that are appropriate for YOU and your situation. Lunch, evening meal, snacks and copious amounts of tea, coffee, juice or water will be available throughout the day along with our evening meal.

Sunday – One last breakfast together. A round up of our weekend, what we have learnt and how we can take these into our everyday lives. We will finish around 12 PM, leaving refreshed, grounded, and prepared for whatever comes next.

Jeff is a qualified counsellor with a BA Hons in Counselling, and a member of the BACP offering compassionate and professional support across all aspects of mental health. With a deep commitment to helping individuals navigate life's challenges, he provides a safe and welcoming space for personal growth, healing, and resilience. Whether offering guidance or simply a listening ear, Jeff empowers clients to move forward with confidence and clarity.

Stu is an experienced life coach with qualifications in outdoor pursuits. He is dedicated to helping individuals build confidence, resilience, and self-awareness, whether in nature or within themselves. Combining the power of adventure with proven techniques in mindset and behavioral change, Stu guides clients through personal transformation, enabling them to overcome obstacles, break limiting beliefs, and reach their full potential ensuring lasting positive change.

3. Do I need previous experience with outdoor retreats or therapy?

Not at all! This is about being present and open to the experience, no outdoor or therapy background required. Just come as you are.

4. What is included in the retreat?

Guided woodland walks and reflective sessions. Campfire conversations and grounding exercises. Space to just be, whether in group discussions or private reflection. Optional 1:1 sessions with Jeff (qualified counsellor) or Stu (life coach) Nutritious meals cooked in nature

5. What should I bring with me?

Here’s a quick checklist:

Comfortable clothing and footwear for outdoor walks.

Sleeping bag (or use one provided), plus your own pillow if preferred.

Torch for nighttime.

A cup, plate/bowl, and utensils (though we have extras if needed)

6. Where will I sleep?

Welcome to your 5 billion-star hotel, you’ll be sleeping under the sky in either a tent or hammock, surrounded by the peaceful sounds of nature.

7. Is this a therapy retreat?

While we offer optional counselling and coaching sessions, this is not a conventional therapy retreat, it’s about learning to listen to yourself, using nature as your guide.

8. What’s the food situation?

You’ll enjoy nutritious, simple meals cooked over the fire, bringing you back to the basics of warmth, sustenance, and connection.

9. What if I’m not comfortable sharing in groups?

That’s completely fine! You can choose to join discussions, have private 1:1 sessions, or take time alone in the woods—it’s your experience, and you shape it as you need.
